My Cuban Stamp Collection
From JMB Wiki
Introduction: I have created this wiki page to share my collection of Cuban stamps.
Unlike many collectors (who tend to specialize in only one era of Cuban history), I collect stamps from all of Cuban philatelic history, which means I have stamps from the Spanish colonial era, the US colonial era, the era of the first Republic, and the Revolutionary era (since the founding of the Socialist Republic in 1959).
I have maybe 25% of my collection scanned so far, but I will add more stamps as time permits. I will also add more discussion in time ab out the topics of the stamps, as I think they help to show the full range and complexity of Cuban history.
With regards to collecting choices, I am trying to find at least one example of each Cuban stamp ever issued, but once I have more than one copy of a stamp, I tend to select the stamp to keep in my collection that are in the best condition, but secondly I prefer stamps that were actually used for postal purposes (ideally with a good postmark) over unused/mint stamps or CTO's (cancelled to order).
If you have questions or comments, please shoot me an email at JMB (at) JMB (DOT) BIKE.
